Apple Cider Donuts are one of my fall favorites. They’re soft, fluffy, and not overly sweet. These donuts are baked rather than fried which makes them lighter and healthier.

You will need a donut pan to make these. I prefer the silicone ones (like this) because the donuts pop out easily.

Best Vegan Apple Cider Donuts

Ingredients needed:

All-purpose flour

Pure cane sugar

Cinnamon

Salt

Baking powder

Apple cider

Almond milk

Applesauce

Vegan butter

Best Vegan Apple Cider Donuts

In a medium bowl, add the flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, and baking powder. Whisk together until combined.

Pour in the apple cider, almond milk, applesauce, and melted vegan butter. Stir until combined.

Spoon the batter into the greased donut pan until it is 3/4 full. Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 16-18 minutes or until the edges of the donuts are golden brown. Let the donuts cool and move them from the pan.

Melt the vegan butter in a bowl and combine the cinnamon and sugar on a small plate. Dip the top of the donut in the butter and then gently press it down on the cinnamon sugar.

For the donuts

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 2 tbsp melted vegan butter

For the topping

  • 3 tbsp melted vegan butter
  • 1/2 cup pure cane sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
