Are rolled oats the same as quick oats?
No. Rolled oats have more whole-shaped pieces compared to quick oats, which tend to have many more fragmented pieces and broken bits. Quick oats are much thinner than rolled oats, which results in a faster cook time and a mushier texture.
4 Ingredient Vegan Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients needed:
2 very ripe bananas (roughly 1 1/4 cups when mashed)
2 cups rolled oats
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy or chunky)
1/4 cup dairy-free dark chocolate chips
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a medium sized mixing bowl, add the very ripe bananas. Mash them with a fork until they are smooth. Add the rolled oats and peanut butter and stir until combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.

Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, scoop the dough into 2 balls. Push down with your hand and add a few more chocolate chips to the top of each cookie. Bake for 12 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
